There birds were created by our fourth graders and I think they are amazing! The bird was modeled after a toucan, but the students were allowed to color them however they wanted. I did require the students to use at least two colors and blend them with oil pastel.
These adorable ducks were created by our first graders. We drew them together, then the students outlined them and colored their ducks and flowers with sharpies. Some chose to do some oil pastel stars before painting their backgrounds.
Our fifth graders created these awesome city skylines. I walked them through drawing the skyline, but they had the option of creating their own buildings as well. I then showed them some buildings with some details and they had to fill the buildings in with their own detail. They colored in the mountains using patterns and painted the sky. I love these!
Our third graders created these beautiful seascapes. We drew parts of this project together, but the students were allowed to add their own details, or change the sailboat to a different type of boat if they wanted. We colored with sharpies and used watercolor and oil pastel in the background.
